After following the Steelers through an exciting season, Jason and I decided to travel to Pittsburgh to watch his team play the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC Championship. We made the trip with our good friends, Chris and Dawn Opie.......good friends AND true Steelers fans! Saturday morning, we left the Salt Lake City Airport early and arrived in Pittsburgh a few hours later. We spent some time shopping and outfitting ourselves with new Steelers gear and then off to see the Pittsburgh night life. We ended up finding a seafood restraunt by the water (I swear there was water on both sides of the restraunt) with delicious crab legs and "fully cooked" lobster. After a chilly walk back to the hotel, we turned in for the night.
It's Game Day!! Sunday started out early. Another shopping trip for last minute gear for the game (more warm layers....it was soooooo cold and a different hat). Before heading off to the game, Dawn and I made friends with the Ravens fans, just in case.
Braving the cold, we took the ferry from the hotel, across the Allegheny river to Heinz Field.
